Cedar Cube Sauna - 6 Person

We are thrilled with our sauna! We recently updated our backyard into a wellness area for ourselves and the sauna was the final touch! It’s beautiful, so well made and a little slice of heaven for us! Every time we needed to reach out to Redwood outdoors, we were always treated with patience and kindness. As a Scandinavian fella from Minnesota I've been born and raised using Saunas my whole life. When I was finally able to add one to my backyard I jumped at the chance. After doing copious research I selected the 6 person cedar cube sauna from Redwood Outdoors. Shipping was quick and professional and the product came in a nice wooden crate. You won't be able to move the crate without some sort of equipment so make sure it goes where you want it. The delivery guy was able to get it into my garage for storage with no issue. Assembly was a breeze. Myself and another friend put the whole thing together in about 4-5 hours. That included multiple beer breaks. I added the shingles by myself in about 2 hours on a different day. I hired an electrician to install the sauna stove which they were able to do in about 30 minutes once the cable was run to the unit. I ended up using an oil based stain on the outside of the sauna for aesthetics and weather proofing. (See Photo) I've used the sauna for about a year now about 3-4 times a week, in both harsh MN Summers and Winters (-10 degrees to 100 degrees outside temp). I've been able to get the temp consistently to 180-200 degrees even in the winter, with about 15-20 minutes of warmup time. I made a small adjustment and added a piece of trim between the bottom of the door and the doorframe to not allow as much cold air in through the door. I think the gap was designed to let air flow in, but there is plenty of venting otherwise so this helps the sauna heat up and retain heat. If I had any issue it would be that it does use a lot of power, but that is to be expected when you are getting something to 200 degrees in a MN winter. Overall highly recommend the product. Quality materials, easy to set up, and works like a charm.
