Oct 9th 2024Purchasing a large item like a sauna can be a stressful ordeal. We are glad we chose Redwood Outdoors for our sauna and plunge set up. The sauna and plunge came as described and were fairly easy to assemble. It took three of us roughly four hours to assemble. We did encounter a few issues, but support(Giana) was very responsive and fixed our issues. We are really enjoying contrast therapy at home!

Feb 16th 2024Thermowood Panorama Sauna - 6 Person. Pacific Cold Plunge Kit. Sauna and Plunge is amazing. I added a lock to mine. Also using pink insulation board underneath to help keep the bottom from being cold. Once Xmas is over and the traffic calms down I'll add wood to match the legs. Took the chiller waterproof cover and made some adjustments so it could run with the cover on it. Moved the towel/robe hanger to the right (Hinge Side) because the door would catch anything hanging on the left side. Pro. Looks great. 6 hour total build time. Another 2 hour for shingles. Great customer service. 1 person build. Happy Wife. Con. Have to request the build manual. (could just email with the purchase confirmation) 6 person with the heater is really 4 person. {Harvia Wall-Mounted Sauna Heater} If you really need that space look into maybe the tall skinny ones. The film on the tub is a pain to remove. From the knees down in the sauna is much colder. (winter at the time of the review)

HARVIA KIP ELECTRIC HEATER
The KIP family of electric sauna heaters are traditional Finnish wall-mounted heaters. They heat up fast and reach high temperatures of ~190F within one hour. This design holds up to 40 lbs of rocks, on which you can douse water to create soothing steam. The KIP creates a relatively dry heat and you should expect ~15-25% relative humidity in the sauna. The KIP comes in an attractive stainless steel exterior case that easily mounts on your sauna wall.

HARVIA CILINDRO ELECTRIC HEATER
The Finnish word “löyly” is the name for the hot steam that rises from your sauna rocks after water has been carefully poured on top of them. The steam turns your sauna into a hot and humid paradise, capable of relaxing even the tensest muscles or stressed minds.
The Cilindro specializes in creating a lot of steam. This is because the heater holds 160 lbs of rocks! All these rocks create a more even heat distribution and an incredible löyly that would make any Finn proud.
The Cilindro has a slightly longer heat-up time than the KIP, due to the= number of rocks and is designed to run at a lower absolute temperature. The temperature you should expect from this heater is ~165F, which is the perfect temperature for a steamy sauna (>30% relative humidity) to prevent scalding. Due to the higher humidity in the room, the perceived temperature in the sauna will feel comparable to a drier sauna running at a higher absolute temperature.

Classic wood-burning saunas are very special. The crackling fire, warm steam from the rocks, and the ritual of tending the fire all combine to create a timeless and unforgettable experience. The Harvia M3 is a compact wood-burning stove that is perfect for our saunas. The M3 is made by Harvia, the most trusted brand in the sauna industry. Built-in Finland, it is designed to meet rigorous European quality standards.
Harvia does not include a chimney kit with the stove. Redwood Outdoors offers a chimney kit to pair with the M3 stove (details below). Installation of the chimney requires cutting a circular hole in the roof staves. This could be performed by a carpenter or a more experienced DIY customer. The Redwood Outdoors chimney kit is sold separately. If you prefer, you can source the chimney and stove accessories yourself. If you are sourcing yourself, you will need 6’ of 6" diameter double-wall stove pipe, interior protective flashing, a chimney collar, and an external rain flange.
Also, note that the M3 wood stove is larger than the electric heaters and reduces the seating capacity of the sauna.
